Sources

Everything that I share here is in use within my own kindergarten and home. Where the source of any material or ideas is known I will share it. It is never my intention to steal anyone ideas or copyright. If you feel something I have offered should be credited to another source please let me know, and I will do so. Where I have used ideas or text for sometime it is possible that I no longer remember where it came from. I may never have known as I have worked in this business for a long time.

I am always happy to learn. Ria.

Easter Activities

The Wheel of the Year is turning so quickly, Easter is upon us and off we go.
The Farmyard is showing lots of signs of life including the chickens and birds who keep on laying eggs. We try to keep the focus of the week away from the chocolate and onto the real eggs all around us.

Retire, Review and Re-group

So much has happened since our last post. A review of so many things and a decision of if, and how, to go forward.

Time spent being kind to myself and to my loved ones, a taste of just how fallible I am and can be.

Back in control and present in mind as well as body. Acceptance of my own limits and my reaction to the needs and wants of others.

A blissful time in Argyll, being loved and cared for and learning how to do both again in return.

Acknowledging  at last my own limits, truly understanding my current image of me and emerging at last as the phoenix I once knew myself to be.

Thank you my family for your love, support and patience.
Onward and upward.

A New Year and a new beginning.

So much has happened in our learning in the last few weeks. It seems crass to try and summarise but I will say we were not happy, and had really lost the joy of learning. So retreat, re-group and re-design have been the watch words of the season.

And the new tag if one can be added is Montessori. We followed so much of Maria Montessoris ideas when the children were young, then we discovered the outdoors and fell into a Waldorf way of living and learning  and now it feels like a natural transition to return to this scheme and model for our more formal learning. I shall miss the Gnomes and the tales but am so very excited to be moving forward again.

Watch this space.

Until then I have to recommend a link to an excellent site that has helped me understand and  prepare. There is so much here for Kindergarten and beyond.
Oh and at the moment there is an awesome giveaway too. Go check out the link.
